2 EMTA Internal Affairs Approval of Copenhagen Record of Decisions Financial matters and accounting: -2nd revised budget 2013 -1 st draft budget proposal 2014 (treasurer) -Renewal of contract for external auditor ? Membership issues - closing down of Valencia and Murcia No new members so far. Ideas to engage new members. European level Membership Surveys Working groups Financial Affairs

3 Progress Report at European Level DG-MOVE Bid on REVOLVE (CENTRO-CRTM and 4 members) delivered to EU in May; EMTA is Network partner awaiting decision of auditors. ITS: public consultation by EC to investigate ideas to overcome challenges for introduction of Multimodal journey planner in EU (call to complete query before October 25) CEF/TEN-T: new program 2014-2020 launched. Enabling Regulation: EC-proposal to Council for changing block exemption in article 9 PSO-Regulation 1370/2007 Council withdrawn. Successful action (so far). Fourth Railway Package: modifications of PSO- Regulation COM 1370/2007 objected in position (June 6) views of the rapporteur mr Grosch to be discussed in round table (1) A European development s EU Legal issues 2011

5 NFC Working Group - Progress EMTA Working group NFC ticketing Members from FR, UK, ES, SE, NO, PL, FI Progress since Copenhagen- WG focus broadened in order to include: Contactless smartcards Development of Apps Non-payment applications that could help to promote NFC and to gain experience with the technology European level Membership Surveys Working groups What is NFC? Experience so far Conclusions

7 Progress Report Barometer Working Group 2013 (relaunch) Development of an open data platform for all members Initiative UITP/OAC to work together on data collection with EMTA? Proposal is still awaited…. Attempt to gain input from DG-MOVE on sustainable transport and environmental impact assessment (EU- Scoreboard) Laura reports later on this morning…. 10 Progress Report FSR proposal Renewed proposal on staff courses (training or workshops) from Torino (SG-comments and suggestions): 4 years programme, once a year 2-days training for staff and management; Proposal (with regard to state of play) -take up preparation of a pilot (preferably with FSR) -check options for training methods of other organizations UITP, Erasmus Univ. Rotterdam; to acquire proper level of knowledge, in a financially viable manner. Start launch pilot: Autumn 2013 ? - A Training options and initiatives Working Groups 2011

11 Building alliances September 9: meeting of Sg EMTA and Maria Machancoses with UITP Sg (Alain Flausch), to explore options for strengthening stakeholders collaboration by: improving services to our (shared) membership exchange mutual observers to participate in public events and relevant workshops (on equal terms) co-signing of positions on topics of common interests (towards EU-institutions) actively share knowledge and resources. Capturing an agreement in a MoU… Collaborate with peer stakeholders
