(ex: tobacco, rice) Plantation -Large farm in which workers were mainly African slaves

IMPORTANT RELIGIOUS GROUPS Puritans (Massachusetts) Puritans (Massachusetts) -Found mainly in New England -Strict, showed little tolerance towards other religious groups. Quakers (Pennsylvania) Quakers (Pennsylvania) -Found mainly in Middle Colonies -Believed all people/groups were equal. War/violence bad. -Believed all people/groups were equal. War/violence bad. Catholics (Maryland) Catholics (Maryland) -Found mainly in Southern Colonies -Believed in tolerating other Christian groups only (All religions tolerated today!).
