2. SCA 13477 of 2012 & PIL 243 of 2013: 1. SCA No. 13477 of 2012: – Back ground:  Janiben Jagmabhai Vala has filed a petition challenging acquisition of land at Vill. Veraval – Current Status :  Though, the High Court had not granted any stay the hearing was getting postponed regularly (47 hearings)  JSTPL with the help of NHAI and District Administration has now resolved this matter – A land possession drive involving Superintendent of Police & Sr. District officials was organized to take possession of this land on 14 Nov 2014. – After getting possession, pavement works up to DBM were completed within 4-5 days to ensure that the High Court does not give any adverse orders in the next hearing – The highway gap in this stretch (85m) has now been cleared which was earlier pending for more than 9 months 2. WP PIL No. 243 of 2013: – Back ground: Devshibhai Bhimshibhai Rabari has filed a petition challenging the collection of toll on the National Highways. – Current Status: No impact on four-laning works for us as the case is relevant to overall policy of NHAI

3. PIL 283 of 2013: –Background: –This PIL has been filed by Khedut Hit Rakshak Samiti & 134 Applicants against the State of Gujarat, NHAI, LAO and 3 other challenging the 3D of Junagadh Bypass –Previous status: –The final hearings have been completed on 10 Sep 2014. In fact High court had rebuked the Petitioner for wasting the Court’s time on matters which have already been deliberated and dismissed earlier (PIL 10826 of 2011)  All arguments for the Case have been concluded and no more hearing shall be required  Final verdict from High Court appears to be positive  However the final order was delayed and kept pending for 7 months. –Further Steps: –JSTPL requested NHAI and State administration for taking pro-active actions to take-up balance land acquisition process of Junagadh Bypass assuming a favorable High Court judgment –JSTPL team will continue the balance LA process with NHAI and State Administration –High Court Judgment Gujarat High Court has dismissed the PIL 283 case and given the final orders on 10 Mar 2015.
