Name of Museum King Tut’s Tomb contained more than five thousand objects. King Tut’s Tomb is in The Valley of the Kings in Ancient Egypt. King Tut’s Tomb is a burial place underground. He became king at the age of nine around 1332 B.C. He died at the age of eighteen, around 1322 B.C. King Tut’s Tomb was discovered by a British archaeologist named Howard Carter. Howard Carter discovered the tomb in 1922. Inside his tomb was four rooms containing different objects that would help him in the afterlife. The walls of his tomb were painted with scenes from his life and his trip to the afterlife. King Tut’s Tomb shows that Ancient Egypt was an important civilization because of the arts. Name of Museum The arts in King Tut’s Tomb shows that Ancient Egypt was an important civilization with three different objects. The first object is the Gold Mask. The Gold Mask is an important object because it was made of solid gold and colorful glass or stone, the gold mask is a nemes headdress, there is a vulture and a cobra that sit on his brow. The second object is the Painted Box. The Painted Box is an important object because it had scenes of his life, it represented his power, and it had scenes of him in battle. The third object is the Scarab Pendant. The Scarab Pendant is an important object because it was made of gold and semiprecious stones, the design spells out three hieroglyphs, and the it is a pendant of a winged beetle.
