Training and development The School of Graduate Research provides a variety of resources to support the HDR candidates through their candidature to get the most out of their research careers by building skills to improve research practice. On Track workshops are open to all research candidates and supervisors to help students get the most out of their research degree. Research weeks are series of special events are held twice a year, in winter and summer, to offer support to, or consult with, the wider HDR community in specific areas. Visiting professors event series will provide valuable opportunities for staff and research candidates to learn about international research training initiatives and to participate in the exchanges of ideas and best practice. The Write Stuff: An interdisciplinary workshop on writing for publication for graduate research students. Writing support is available through The Study and Learning Centre. Shut Up And Write Group offers an opportunity for writers to get together on a regular basis and focus upon short, intense bursts of writing in a supportive atmosphere. Three minute thesis competition asks candidates to present their thesis topic in three minutes, with a single power point slide. e-Grad School is a virtual graduate school that provides online resources and activities. Resources for HDR candidates Online surveys for research projects Qualtrics is a free questionnaire resource for all RMIT students and staff. Statistical consultancy service is run by the School of Mathematical and Geospatial Sciences. Library resources for researchers on referencing, copyright, library catalogues and more. Have your thesis edited by a professional editor. Your HDR representatives welcome your questions and concerns from RMIT Masters by Research and PhD candidates.
