3 Golf Update The GHS Varsity golf team traveled to Myrtle Beach this Past weekend for the Blue Jacket tournament, taking four freshmen and an eighth- grader, and came home with the second place trophy, narrowly losing to Myrtle Beach High by a mere 2 shots. Two members of our team had outstanding performances. Freshman Zach McLain shot a tournament low 3-under par 69 on Sunday, followed closely by Caleb Proveaux’s even-par 72. Zach finished first overall in a strong field of over 80 players with a two-day total of 149 and Caleb was second with a 150 total for the two days. Both players eagled the finishing hole on Sunday to cap a superb weekend of play. Freshman Joseph Hardee shot a solid 82 on Sunday, and eighth-grader Jeremiah Kubilus also contributed to the team’s second- place finish. Congratulations to the Indian Golfers on a fine effort!
