Visualise and sketch 2-D shapes in different orientations. Describe what happens and use the shapes to explain why.

3 Imagine a rectangular sheet of paper.
Cut along the diagonal to make two triangles.

4 Place the diagonals together in a different way.

6 Imagine two equilateral triangles.
Place them together, edge to edge. What shape is formed?
