Area of a parallelogram
To find the area of a parallelogram, you multiply the shape’s base and height. A = b(h) Find the area of the following shape. A = (10)(7) A = 70 cm² 7 cm 10 cm
4
Area of a Triangle If you take a parallelogram and split it in half, you create two triangles. For the area formula of a triangle, take the formula for the area of a parallelogram and split it in half. A = (b(h))÷2 A = (3.7(2.4)) ÷2 A = (8.88) ÷2 A = 4.44 cm²
5
Area of a Trapezoid A trapezoid is a quadrilateral with only one pair of parallel sides. A=½4(6+3) A=½4(9) A=18m²
