Area of a Rectangle = (base)(height)= bh Area of a triangle = ½ (base)(height) = ½ bh Area of a parallelogram = (base)(height) = bh Area of a trapezoid = ½ (height)(base + base) = ½ h(b + b) Surface Area = find the area of each face of the shape and add the areas together! Sometimes drawing a net helps to find the surface area! Volume = (length)(height)(width) = lwh Graphing points = (x,y), remember there are 4 quadrants! Use the absolute value to find the distance between points. If the points are in different quadrants add! If the points are in the same quadrant subtract!
