3. Welcome!
Thank you for taking time to come to my presentation. I am excited to share how much I have grown since the beginning of the year during my presentation.
We will look at my performance in each academic class and some of the work samples that I have completed throughout the year.

I’ve done well with completing my homework on time.
My grade has gone up since quarter 2 because I have done more homework and spent more time studying at home.

6. RAFT: The Chosen
This project was a letter to Reuven, a character in the book The Chosen.
I learned about to think about another person’s perspective and put myself in their shoes. I also learned how the author uses perspective to create a certain mood for the reader.
I chose this project because it shows my best writing skills.
I grew a lot from my writing last year to this year, and this project shows how I am better able to pull textual evidence.
I will use what I learned from this assignment to think about ways that I can reach out to people who are different than me. It taught me that I can learn a lot from people of other cultures.

My reading goal for next year is to get to 900.
I will achieve my goal by reading independently every day and finding books that are on the right level for me.

My attendance has impacted my performance because I have been here every day, I have earned better grades.
Going into high school, my goal is to get perfect attendance and to be on time every day.

10. Behavior Number of Referrals since January: 1
Number of Suspensions since January: 0
My behavior has impacted my performance because when I received the one referral, I was distracting myself and my peers. I did not do as well on the quiz that day as I could have.
Going into high school, my goal is to earn zero referrals and stay focused on doing my best. I want to be in better control of my emotions.

I aspire to be the top of my class at Whitney M. Young Magnet High School, where I will be going next year.
I aspire to attend Princeton University.
I aspire to become a lawyer because I believe I can help to change unfair laws.
