2 Copyright 2007 Air-Transport IT Services, Inc. – Proprietary and Confidential Overview of the Process  Create the meter in the Meter Inventory screen.  Assign the meter to a leasehold on the Agreements screen.  Obtain meter readings from physical meters (either via a scanning process or manually using the Meter Sequence Report).  Enter Meter Readings into PROPworks® via the Meter Readings screen (or via the file loader).  Generate the Meter Activity.

3 Copyright 2007 Air-Transport IT Services, Inc. – Proprietary and Confidential Overview of Process-cont’d  Review the Meter Activity and either accept or reject it. –Tools to use to accept or reject, the Meter Activity Report or Meter Activity Detail Screen. –If the Meter Activity is accepted, transfer the Activity to Billing using the Utility Billing Interface (housed in the Billing menus). –If the Meter Activity is rejected; adjust the meter readings accordingly and regenerate the activity.  Once the meter activity is accepted, create the bill work area and commence billing.

4 Copyright 2007 Air-Transport IT Services, Inc. – Proprietary and Confidential Utility Reporting Capabilities  Meter Detail Report: Information about the meters by campus and utility type, with the ability to include inactive meters (not the default) and the ability to include leasehold assignment information (again, not the default)  Meter Sequence Report: Used for capturing meter readings manually, orders all the meters by their sequence number as specified on the Meter Inventory screen with the option to group by utility type if needed.  Meter Activity Report: Shows the generated meter activity by campus and utility type, month and year, available through the reports menu or optionally from the Meter Activity Log screen. Primary purpose is to validate the meter readings are correct.  Meter Exception Report: Used for validating that meters are assigned to leaseholds, and making sure that meters have meter readings from month to month

5 Copyright 2007 Air-Transport IT Services, Inc. – Proprietary and Confidential Utility Billing Considerations  The meter must be assigned to an agreement and leasehold. –This can be considered a setup step, but must be completed in order for the correct charge to be billed to the correct agreement.  In order to transfer the activity to billing, an activity type must be defined in the Billing Module, and bill rules must be assigned to the activity type and the agreement.
