1. Col.2:12,20– “12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. … 20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances.”

2. Col.3:1-4– “1 If then ye were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are upon the earth. 3 For ye died, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall be manifested, then shall ye also with him be manifested in glory.”

5. ► Must not only die with Him but also be buried with Him Rom.6:4; Col.2:12 ► Must bury the old man of sin ► Only the penitent man is ready for burial Only he has put to death the old man of sin

6. ► We are raised with Him Rom.6:4,5; Col.2:12 ► We are raised to:  Be made alive – Eph.2:5,6  Newness of life – Rom.6:4  Forgiveness – Col.2:13

7. ► A life hid Col.3:1-4 ► Paul said he lived as Christ lived in him Gal.2:20 ► What we were is hid by what we become 1 Jn.3:3

8. ► A royal priesthood 1 Pet.2:9 ► Made us to be kings & priests Rev.1:5,6 ► We reign with Him 2 Tim.2:11,12; 1 Cor.15:24,25 ► The Corinthians were reigning 1 Cor.4:8

9. ► If we suffer we will reign 2 Tim.2:11,12– “11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:” ► We suffer through trials Rom.12:1; 2 Tim.3:12; Col.1:24

10. ► Rom.8:17 – “and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified with him.” ► Jesus is heir of all things Heb.1:2 ► We are heirs for same reason Gal.4:7; 1 Pet.1:3-5

11. 1 Thess.4:17– “then we that are alive, that are left, shall together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
