4. Assurance of the Spirit  Not assurance through the gifts... Each one is given different gifts.  Not assurance through the fruit... Evidence of the sinful nature does not deny the presence of the Spirit.  So what assurance? Who the Spirit is not what He does...

5. The Spirit in You  Counsellor: John 14:16 – Knowledge of what is good and glorious.  Truth: John 14:17 – Understanding more of God’s plan.  Remind you of Jesus: John 14:26 – Thoughts drawn to Jesus.  Move you: John 3:8 – Like the wind directs and moves you.  Eat with You: Revelation 3:20 – Spend time and build closeness with you.

6. Deposit Guaranteeing Inheritance  Deposit on a house – you move in and live in the good of it.  Established as the owner.  Guarantee – Not like our insurance, where they will find any loophole to squirm out.  Not guaranteed for 5 years, but “until redemption”  Not a guarantee for failure, but a deposit preparing for fulfilment.
