Announcements & Prayer

Tell Me The Old, Old Story Ambassador Hymnal #233

Tell me the old, old story Of unseen things above; Of Jesus and His glory, Of Jesus and His love. Tell me the story simply, As to a little child; For I am weak and weary, And helpless and defiled.

Refrain: Tell me the old, old story, Of Jesus and His love.

Tell me the story slowly, That I may take it in— That wonderful redemption, God’s remedy for sin. Tell me the story often, For I forget so soon; The early dew of morning Has passed away at noon.

Refrain: Tell me the old, old story, Of Jesus and His love.

Tell me the story softly, With earnest tones and grave; Remember, I’m the sinner Whom Jesus came to save. Tell me that story always, If you would really be, In any time of trouble, A comforter to me.

Refrain: Tell me the old, old story, Of Jesus and His love.

Tell me the same old story, When you have cause to fear That this world’s empty glory Is costing me too dear; And when the light of heaven Is dawning on my soul, Tell me the old, old story: “Christ Jesus makes thee whole.”

Refrain: Tell me the old, old story, Of Jesus and His love.

Confession of Sin Ambassador Hymnal Pg. 48 #6 Heavenly Father, we come before You this morning because of our old nature. There is a part of us that only wants to make us turn away from You and do that which is evil. At times Father, we have given in to this old nature and have sinned and fallen short of Your glory.

Confession of Sin Ambassador Hymnal Pg. 48 #6 We confess this to You so that You may forgive us and cleanse us from that unrighteousness and make us Your children again. Wash us and make us clean in Your sight. In the precious Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Kyrie Ambassador Hymnal Pg. 3 O God the Father in heaven, Have mercy upon us! O God the Son, Redeemer of the world, Have mercy upon us! O God the Holy Ghost, true Comforter, Have mercy upon us!

Psalm 22:1-18 1 Peter 3:13-4:11

Apostles’ Creed p. 4 in Ambassador Hymnal I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ, His only Son our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit; born of the virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead;…

Apostles’ Creed p. 4 in Ambassador Hymnal …He ascended into heaven; And is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From where He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit; The holy Christian Church, the Communion of Saints; the Forgiveness of sins; The Resurrection of the body, and the Life everlasting, Amen.

Gloria Patri Ambassador Hymnal Pg. 4 Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.

When I Survey the Wondrous Cross Ambassador Hymnal #63

When I survey the wondrous cross On which the Prince of Glory died, My richest gain I count but loss, And pour contempt on all my pride.

Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast, Save in the death of Christ, my God: All the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to His blood.

See, from His head, His hands, His feet, Sorrow and love flow mingled down! Did e’er such love and sorrow meet? Or thorns compose so rich a crown?

Were the whole realm of nature mine, That were a present far too small; Love so amazing, so divine, Demands my soul, my life, my all.

Because He Lives Ambassador Hymnal #545

God sent His Son, they called Him Jesus. He came to love, heal, and forgive; He lived and died to buy my pardon, An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.

Refrain: Because He lives I can face tomorrow, Because He lives all fear is gone; Because I know He holds the future, And life is worth the living just because He lives.

How sweet to hold a newborn baby, And feel the pride and joy he gives; But greater still the calm assurance, This child can face uncertain days because He lives.

Refrain: Because He lives I can face tomorrow, Because He lives all fear is gone; Because I know He holds the future, And life is worth the living just because He lives.

And then one day I’ll cross the river, I’ll fight life’s final war with pain; And then as death gives way to victory, I’ll see the lights of glory and I’ll know He reigns.

Refrain: Because He lives I can face tomorrow, Because He lives all fear is gone; Because I know He holds the future, And life is worth the living just because He lives.

The LORD’s Prayer Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven; Give us this day our daily bread: And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us,

The LORD’s Prayer And lead us not into temptation; But deliver us from evil; For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, And the glory, forever and ever. AMEN. AMEN.

Blest Be the Tie That Binds Ambassador Hymnal #245

Blest be the tie that binds Our hearts in Christian love The fellowship of kindred minds Is like to that above.

When we asunder part, It gives us inward pain; But we shall still be joined in heart, And hope to meet again.
