7. It is an important port and a commercial center of the northeastern Greece. Alexandroupolis is a beautiful city by the sea.

9. It s is the crossroads both of sea and land routes from the east to the west, from the ridges of Rhodope and Evros river to the Aegean Sea and Samothrace. The nature creates landscapes of unique beauty and importance throughout centuries. Idyllic, beautiful beaches, rivers and streams, forests, mountains, prairies and plains coexist in a single composition

12. The Delta of Evros is near of our town. The Evros Delta National Park is formed in the estuary of river Evros and is one of the most important wetlands in Europe. Delta is an ecosystem of international importance, according to the Ramsar convection (1971).

15. 6th Primary School Alexadroupolis The 6 th Primary school of Alexandroupolis has 39 teachers and 327 pupils between the ages of 6 to 12. There are 16 classes and 2 supportive classes for children with special learning needs and a class which continues lessons until 4.15 and it is called “ oloimero”

16. The School year starts on the 1st of September and finishes on the 21 of June. Christmas Holidays – Easter Holdays:2 weeks The school program starts at 8.10 and finishes 14.00 every day, and there is a special class which continues till 4.15

18. There are a computer lab,a library, and a little theater.

19. A part of our students have a different cultural background and speak a different mother tongue (Turkish). There are special educational programmes applied to those students.

20. The school prospect and purpose is to emphasise the stunent – centered activities and learn about everything in terms of learning behavior, learning pattern and level. We work strategically to develop work methods and the way we organize the learning environment with the aim to reach all pupils and enable them to develop the future necessary key competences. We use esthetical learning processes to grow and boost creativity and innovation among pupils and staff

21. The school belongs to the Primary Schools which have a “united revised educational programme”. Apart from the general school subjects the students are also taught: Music, theatrical education, computer studies. There are also programmes which enforce “friendly attitude to reading”, finally English, German and French is taught. So there are English, French and German teachers, Physical Education teachers, Musicians, Art teachers, Drama teachers and ICT teachers..

22. Technology (ICT) also plays a very important role in the learning process. It is applied both to the everyday teaching and to long term projects. In this way the both have learning benefits and develop technological literacy.

23. There are innovative programmes about “environmental education” and “health education” which are applied. The school has participated in to many competitions (theatrical, musical, sports) and has won many prizes. Through all these activities which take place in the school, the students have the ability to express their talents and develop social capabilities
