e-ELCA (End of Life Care for All) is an online course commissioned by DoH and Delivered through e-LfH in partnership with the Association for Palliative Medicine of GB and Ireland to support the implementation of the Department of Health's national End of Life Care Strategy (July 2008).

It consists of 156 individual interactive sessions in 8 modules – 4 of which are considered core, 1 on integrating learning and 3 specialised areas, Social care, Bereavement and Spirituality CORE MODULES Advanced Care Planning (ACP) Assessment Communication Skills Symptom Management Integrating Learning SPECIALIST MODULES Social Care Bereavement Spirituality

e-ELCA can be used in various ways – for some people – sessions can be linked into courses to meet the needs of a specific job role. In this instance, the individual sessions can be used to support elements of your Syllabus Content including: End of Life Care strategy familiarisation Care of the dying, palliative to the terminal phase transition Advanced Care Planning (ACP) & MDT Communication Skills Loss and bereavement. The impact of life limiting conditions on patients, carers and professionals
