"Spot-ons:" Used to keep fleas and ticks away from your dog and your cat. It's applied to a small area or "spot," on your dog or cat. Spot-ons contains chemicals that can hurt you. Motor Oil: Used in the engines of vehicles, such as cars, trucks and tractors. Made up of many of unique chemicals that are suspected as causing cancer. It is toxic to fish and birds. Always take used oil to the recycling center, never pour it on the ground.

Latex Paint: Used indoors or out of doors on walls, wood and ceilings. Have large amounts of biocides in them. Can give you a headache and irritate eyes, nose and throat. Need to be sure to always "Read the Label First" Read the Label FirstRead the Label First Open the windows and doors to the room that is being painted. Keep small children away from the room where the painting is being done. Do not use paint that is labeled for "exterior use only" indoors.

Wet-Cell Batteries: Used in cars, trucks, tractors and other motor vehicles. Contains lead and a solution of sulfuric acid. Explosive gases are produced which are easily ignited. Sulfuric acid is extremely caustic, it burns. Can cause burning and charring of the skin, and your eyes. Do not attempt to clean it up yourself. Keep other children and pets away from the area until the battery's acid is cleaned up. Wash your hands after contact.

Antifreeze: Used in the radiators of cars, trucks and other motor vehicles. The main hazardous ingredient of antifreeze is ethylene glycol. Cause severe damage to your heart, kidneys and brains. It can cause death. Has a sweet smell & animals may be attracted to it. Keep your dog and pets away from the puddle and let an adult know about it.
