4. The storming of the bastille July 14th is the national day This date commemorates the storming of the Bastille, leading to the French Revolution in 1789.

5. La Liberté guidant le peuple from Eugène Delacroix It became a symbolic day.

6. The military parade On July 14 th : National day A demonstration of France’s military power on the Champs- Elysées in Paris. Trumpets and clarions ring upon the arrival of the President.

9. Le festival de Cannes This year, the festival was from 15 th till 26 th May. This is the place to be for many stars having the privilege to compete for the golden palm ! This years the jury was composed of Steven Spielberg, Nicole Kidman, Ang Lee, Daniel Auteuil.

10. The end of the Festival Each year the festival is ending up with a closing ceremony (« La vie d’Adèle » this year). The attending stars walk up the stairs with red carpet.
