2. Death: October 8,1869 at Concord, New Hampshire at the age of 64. Term Of Office: March 4, 1853- March 3, 1857. He only served 1 term of office. He is the 14 th President of the United States. He was part of the Democratic Party. Birth: November 23, 1804 at Hillsboro, New Hampshire.

3. Fun Facts Pierce's 12 year old son Bennie died in a train accident while the family was on their way to Washington to his inauguration in February 1853. Pierce's wife Jane was emotionally devastated by Bennie's death and would spend time writing tearful letters to her dead son while she lived in the White House. Pierce was the first president to put a Christmas tree in the White House. He did so in an attempt to cheer up his wife who was still mourning over the death of their son Bennie. Even though he suffered from depression and alcoholism he was still one of the best liked presidents.
