Recent Bachelor’s degree earners – over 50% unemployed or underemployed On average, $26,000 student loan debt to obtain a Bachelor’s which will take an average of 10 years to pay off Skills that will need to be updated in increasingly shorter time periods

COLLEGE AND CAREER READY IN KANSAS College and Career Ready means an individual has the academic preparation, cognitive preparation, technical skills, and employability skills to be successful in postsecondary education, in the attainment of an industry recognized certification or in the workforce, without the need for remediation.

Through a comprehensive career exploration system and a focus on rigorous, relevant CTE Pathways, including the implementation of individual plans of study for all students, schools can help students prepare more extensively for careers.
