Meet GIL GIL is the University of Georgia’s new online library catalog GIL replaces the UGA Libraries’ Catalog on GALIN

Accessing GIL GIL can be searched either on or off- campus without a password. At a library workstation, click on the icon for GIL. Outside the library, point your Web browser to: http://gil.uga.edu

Searching for A book by title? Books written by an author? The location of a journal? Then try:

the “Title/Author/Subject” search

At the “Title/Author/Subject” screen, select the type of search

Leave off initial articles such as an, a, the, la, el, der education in georgia

Click on the “Search” button education in georgia

Results: all books owned by UGA whose titles start with those words
