RCEEMS Project Remotely Controlled Engine Management System Valery Gorohovsky & Shmuel Koyas Supervised by Boaz Mizrachi 19/04/2012
2
Introduction – Current Situation Environmental trends push automotive manufacturers into focusing on efficiency Sophisticated electronic systems manage automotive systems There is little user accessibility and limited interface for review and management of automotive systems Large scale fleets require easy management and analysis tools for efficiency and economy
3
Currently Available Solutions ECU (Engine Control Unit) data logging systems Separate fleet management system Small embedded systems enabling mobile device connectivity for status review Very limited data analysis – mostly for automotive sports tuning
4
Our Vision All-in-one solution for vehicle exploitation On board system enabling data logging, analysis, external sensory input and communication Mobile connectivity application Server based fleet management system Real-time data analysis and usage policy suggestion for efficiency and economy (Currently not available in other solutions)
5
Features Real-Time access and logging of the ECU Data analysis and processing Easy local connectivity Remote connectivity and SMS notifications GPS tracking, recording and route analysis Advanced Data analysis based on sensor data trends Android application for interactive, intuitive and easy to use interface Server Side Application for performance evaluation and fleet control Accelerometer & Altimeter Sensors CAN bus Layout
