Objective: Students will be able to write decimals as fractions and fractions as decimals (5-9 & 5-10).

Writing decimals as fractions: Read all directions!!! Write problem down. Look at place value position. The # given is your numerator and the place value position is your denominator (decimal, 10ths, 100ths, 1000ths, ten- 1000ths). Simplify fraction. This is your final answer. If you have a whole #, it goes in front of your decimal.

Writing fractions as decimals: Read all directions!!!! Write the problem. Divide the D into the N (D=denominator, N=numerator). May need to add zeros. No remainders unless it repeats. Use bar notation when needed. Write final answer
