2 Type of the project:Comenius life-long learning.Multilateral. Theme:Gastronomy,Healthy food. Title:Healthy Youth in a Futute Europe Schools involved: from 5 countries:France,Holland,Hun- gary,Malta, Norway. Number of SS’s and TT’s involved :15-20 from each country Working language:English

3 Personal contacts. Comenius Partner- base. Contact among schools. Preparatory visit in Hungary (January 2006).

4 The use of ICT as a tool for networking and communication between European citizens. To promote positive attitude towards healthy way of life and healthy diet. Increasing both students’s and teachers’s motivation to use English through direct contacts with other cultures. To create innovative methodologies in the teaching of English. To improve team-work and collaboration. To exchange experiences and explore different aspects of European culture.

5 Making Comenius workplan. Incorpotating school subjects into the project:(English,ICT, Gastronomy,Health Education, PE). Defining resposibiliti- es of coordinators coordinators,TT’s and SS’s involved. Support of the school management

8 3 food festivals –TASTE OF EUROPE (Malta,Hungary, Holland). Writing diaries and blogs. Making interviews with grandparents ( about eating habits). Making short films (DVD), posters ( about meals) Making a recipe book with present past and future recipes. Creating Troll board game. Visiting markets and restaurants.

11 What? Project information/result/product How? LMS platform /school magazine / Tv / local press / forums. When? As often as possible. After mobilities. Why ? To inform schools, Stakeholders (parents, municipalities),media.

12 WHERE? Within school - local level / national level and international level HOW? Questionnaires,interviews,informal talks,self-evaluation. WHAT? Activities,methods,results,outcomes. WHY? To see if the aims and objectives of the project are attained?

13 For teachers Cross curricular teaching. New methods,materials Respect of other cultures. Project methods. Improving social skills and cooperation(Taking turns,problem solving,decision making,to explain, ecouraging partners). Developing organisational skills. Better use of ICT techniques. For students To host visitors. Compare different lifestyles and cultures. Appreciate and understand the other cultures,traditions. Working in groups.(negotiating skills). Better use of ICT techniques. To be aware of the importance of healthy way of life.
