Fundamental 1 of the Fall “The Spirit is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. (2 Nephi 2:4) …It does not matter, in terms of redemption, whether one is born before the Savior’s coming to the earth or afterward. It does not even matter whether one is born on this earth, or on another.” Gerald Lund

“Worlds without number” –Moses 1:33 Bruce R. McConkie “Now our Lord’s jurisdiction and power extend far beyond the limits of this one small earth on which we dwell. … …the atonement of Christ, being literally and truly infinite, applies to an infinite number of earths.”

(Isaiah 55:1-2) “Wherefore, do not spend money for that which is of no worth, nor your labor for that which cannot satisfy.” (2 Nephi 9:50-51)

Fundamental 4 of the Fall “Men are instructed sufficiently that they know good from evil.” (2 Nephi 2:5) Gerald Lund “knowing good from evil” is known as the Light of Christ. “For behold, the Spirit of Christ is given to every man, that he may know good from evil; wherefore, I show unto you the way to judge; for every thing which inviteth to do good, and to persuade to believe in Christ, is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ; wherefore ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of God.” (Moroni 7:16)

13
Paul’s warning to the Romans The law of Moses alone could not save them. Romans 2:16 Romans 3:23 Since no one can live the law perfectly, all are condemned by the law.
14
Today’s warning Just by being a member of the Church can not save you Spencer W. Kimball Since no one can live the law perfectly, all are condemned by the law. “The mission of the church to its members is to make available the principles, programs, and priesthood by which they can prepare themselves for exaltation.”
15
Separating from the Lord When People rebel and reject God, they separate themselves from the Holy Ghost …and God allows them to suffer the full effects of their sins. Romans 1:18-32 “For the Spirit of the Lord will not always strive with man. And when the spirit ceaseth to strive with man then cometh speedy destruction, and this grieveth my soul.” (2 Nephi 26:11)
16
Salvation comes to those who accept Jesus as their Redeemer …Nevertheless, he that repents and does the commandments of the Lord shall be forgiven.” “For I the Lord cannot look upon sin with the least degree of allowance… D&C 1:31-32
