Humanity –Reconciled ( apokatallassō ) through death in his [Jesus] body of flesh All things –Reconciled ( apokatallassō ) through him [Jesus] through the blood of his [Jesus] cross

What does it mean to be reconciled? Reconciliation is the restoration of unity For persons this relates to relationship cf., e.g., Matt 5:24; Rom 5:10; 2 Cor 5:18-20 For creation this refers to reestablishing the order from disorder (disunity) cf., e.g., Eph 1:10; Col 1:20

The good news (gospel) is the message of hope not only for individual souls, but for the whole of creation Human sin and rebellion has had devastating effects on all of creation
