All Year Groups Uniform A reminder to all pupils: NO black jeans NO leggings or skin-tight trousers NO coloured hoodies/zippers even if they are under your blazer All teachers will be challenging you if they see you in those items and phone calls to parents/carers will be made if necessary. You are allowed a black zipper/cardigan/jumper under your blazer. You are allowed to wear your outdoor jacket during interval and lunchtime but you MUST take this off in class as soon as you enter... If you are cold, wear a black jumper/zipper and get a blazer. Please do not wait for the teacher to ask you. You have the October week coming up and this will give you time to make sure you have enough items to follow the school dress code. If there are any issues please speak to Pastoral Care.

4. S5/6 Exams! Your PRELIMS are now only 9 teaching weeks away. (You have the October week & Christmas holidays where you are on your own!) Staff are helping to prepare you for this but we are concerned about the attitude and effort in your classes. Most of you know what you need to get this year to make sure you are in the best position to apply for your next steps whether it is a University/College place, an apprenticeship or onto a training programme. We must see an increase in your effort and application. You are running out of time and too few of you are taking the opportunities to be the best you can be. 5. S5/6 Ernst Young Internship Opportunity Are you in S5 and interested in Maths/Accoutancy/Finance/Economics? The programme, consists of a paid 3 week placement at EY (2 weeks of skills sessions and business activities aimed to improve communication, teamwork and presentation skills and a week working within a team at EY, engaging in real work activities). You are also provided with a mentor, who will work with you one on one throughout your 6th year in the ten months following the programme, and you will be invited to alumni events with their fellow peers, mentors, and others EY volunteers from the programme… Interested? See Miss McWaters at morning interval. Youth Parliament If you are interested in Politics and would like to become a member of the Youth Parliament, please collect information from Miss McWaters today at interval also. I will put a copy on the notice board in the pond area.
