9 NATIONAL YOUTH SCIENCE CAMP
Selected participants from all over Indonesia (representative of each provinces) Working with Local Government Increase networking, nationalism and local wisdom As starting poin, being confidence to participate science fair and science competition

10 CHALLENGES ON SCIENCE FAIR IN INDONESIA
The growing number of science fair in Indonesia does not reflects the higher quality of the events or research proposall 2. Mentoring system by scientists/lecturer as applied in INTEL ISEF have been ecknowledged could increase the quality of research proposal - Prepare Guiidelines for Mentoring - Could be applied widely to teachers at school - ToT for Teachers, Mentor and instructur Increase number of local science fair to stimulate interest students and teachers from remote areas. 4. Increase category for science project

11 CHALLENGES ON SCIENCE FAIR IN INDONESIA
Five important Issues to be pointed : 1. Government Linkage and Support 2. Role of Media and Private Sectors 3. Integrated Science Activities with Science Fair 4. Post Science Fair Activities 5. Intelectual Property Issues

12 CHALLENGES ON SCIENCE FAIR IN INDONESIA (1)
Establish Strong Linkage amongst related Ministries, LIPI, Universities, Science Fair Coordinator relating to science projects Strong collaboration with local government To link science, education, business sectors Define Target group Setting standard and priorities Grand Design Scence Education Program

13 WORKING WITH MEDIA CHALLENGES ON SCIENCE FAIR IN INDONESIA (2)
More engagement Indonesia’s mass media in supporting of youth science fair, STEM, promoting achievement and science awareness Foster science and education journalist network Making short story on the excellent work of best young scientists on digital media (youtube) and social media Getting awards from international science fair get more media promotion

14 PRIVATE SECTOR AND INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIP
