ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Filter Functions Keyboard ‘Down Arrow’ = Go forward Keyboard ‘Up Arrow’ = Go back Keyboard ‘ESC’ = Exit this Help Demo SUMMARY: Column Filters are pre-defined Filter Criteria which are set up through Column Properties. Once set up, they are easily available for recall whenever the User requires them. BEST SUITED: Since Column Filters are available for recall whenever required, they are best suited for applications where they will be required on a frequent basis. Column Filters may be viewed through the Filter Panel, meaning that their Availability and Application becomes highly visible. It is also possible to Retain their Filter Criteria within the Saved Screen Function. DISADVANTAGES: Column Filters are not inherently available from the system. The User must pre-configure them by defining each Filter through the respective feature within Column Properties. ‘CREATING NEW COLUMN FILTERS’

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Filter Functions CREATING NEW COLUMN FILTERS There is an option to limit the list of Fields to Common Fields or to display All Available Fields. Although it is possible to create Filters for alternative Fields, for ease of use it is prudent to keep Column Filters relating to the data of the Column they are created in. In other words, keep Column Filters created in the Salary column to formulae relating to Salary. That way, when looking for Column Filters which relate to Salary, users will know to look in the Salary column.
