2.  Technical Focus:  HF practitioners working in the field of training  An important part of a team responsible for designing and implementing training for large systems and training devices.  Specific activities include the following:  Developing user profiles that match equipment characteristics  Developing user interfaces, controls and displays, and technical information to train in operation and maintenance  Developing, evaluating, and implementing innovative technologies and approaches for training  Testing prototypes  Evaluating training techniques and programs of instruction

3.  Over 300 members  Dues are $4.00 a year  Not necessary to be a member of HFES  Positions are decided each year at the HFES conference  Chair and Secretary/Treasurer are elected  Newsletter Editor and Program Chair are appointed

6.  Research trends or topics of interest recently?  This year, submissions cover a variety of application domains (e.g., health care, military, aviation)  The paper topics have been varied, as well -- how to measure training effects, training transfer studies, training strategies  New applications and domains tend to follow current events and technology improvements  Some current submissions are looking at security screening and game-based training

7.  What type of jobs are available for members of the TTG?  R&D-consulting type positions  Standard academic track positions  ISD and HF specific positions in a variety of commercial and government organizations
