2 Dubai’s Environmental Concerns And How They’re Being Fixed Sewage is being dumped into the water which is needed for drinking. There are more cars, though most are at least seven years old, and they are polluting the air. There is a fine of $25,000 for the people who dump sewage if they’re caught. There are air monitors and a website to show the pollution, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding between Dubai Muncipality and Abu Dhabi.

10 Islands meant to hold hotels for millionaires are eroding and the areas between the islands are becoming clouded with silt They are manmade in the shape of palm trees and the world It’s a ten-year project “in a coma” (Nakheel) 2009- Nakheel (construction co.) was bailed out at a cost of $25 billion People own most of the sinking islands Nakheel insists the islands aren’t sinking Palm Island

11 The salt is thrown back into the water Red Tide is feeding on the sewage Red Tide might shut the desalination plant down There’s enough fresh water stored for months The sewage in the water is allowing the E. Coli to grow too numerable to count Dubai Waterfront

12 Dust is natural and at acceptable levels The main problems are from cars The cars are generally seven years old or older The pollutants are being monitored There are 14 fixed and 2 mobile monitors The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) allows the air pollution to be posted on a website so the overall air pollution can be seen Burj al Alam
