8 Why should I remember the AUP?  Keeping or distributing material that is offensive, obscene or indecent, except in the course of recognised research or teaching that is legally permitted.  Downloading, distribution, or storage of copyright material, without valid permission.  Using torrenting applications on University networks.  Actions or inactions which aid the distribution of malicious software. Use free Anti-Virus.  The AUP applies with your computer and our systems.  Posting defamatory comments about staff or students on Social Networking sites (irrespective of whose computer or network is used).
