Mike Scherer is a broker associate with Summit Properties specializing in sellers. After serving a tour of duty in Vietnam with the US Army, Mountain Mike attended West Valley College and San Jose State University majoring in business. During the past 35 years, besides his real estate career, Mike has owned 3 different furniture specialty stores. Mike also has the SRES designation specializing in working with seniors. His interests include classic and muscle cars and music. He is also involved as a minister at the Cathedral of Faith in San Jose and Santa Cruz. Ann Scherer specializes in working with Buyers, helping them find their ideal home. She walks buyers through the home buying process from beginning to end relieving them of any worries. Ann knows that buying a home is one of the most important decisions one will ever make in a lifetime. Her negotiating skills are valued very much by her clients. Besides real estate, Ann has an extensive background in corporate America industries such as marketing, sales, high tech, hospitality, finance, and staffing/recruiting. This experience has given her the skills to be an effective Realtor for YOU! Her interests include physical fitness, horses, and supporting the troops. She is also pursuing a Masters Degree in Biblical Studies at Northern California Bible College. Ann is also an active member at the Cathedral of Faith and volunteers in the Childrens Ministry. Mountain Mike and Ann have a blended family consisting of 6 sons ranging from 16 to 25 years of age. Their oldest just returned home from active service in the Navy. The others are currently attending West Valley College and Los Gatos High School. They previously attended Loma Prieta elementary and CT English middle school. FAQ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How is Summit Properties compensated for their services? We are only paid when the transaction closes, unless otherwise agreed in advance when a buyer chooses a fee basis instead of a commission basis. In most cases commissions are paid by the seller. What do your services include? We treat your transaction as if it were our own. We are held to a strict code of ethics by the State of California Department of Real Estate. Part of our services include property searches, acquiring disclosures and reports from sellers, research county records, showings and tours, all required paperwork, providing you with resources for inspectors, contractors, lenders, school information, and more.
