Cork Sports Programmes
A new initiative supported by the Irish Sports Council Working with Co. Boards or other regional structures. Currently 9 Sports Programmes operational 4,500 + Participants 250 newly trained coaches 8 new clubs Feedback - V. Positive Brand recognition of Cork Sports Partnership Links established and developed

Questions we need to consider
Is the project targeted & sustainable? What are the likely outputs? Are the outputs sensibly linked to funding request? Can we forecast the impacts of this project? Who are the other partners involved? Does the applicant have the capacity to deliver??

Cork Sports Spikeball Programme. (Volleyball)
Outputs 11 Schools on the programme. 22 teachers trained In excess of 500 Children introduced to Spikeball over 6 week period. 4 fun blitz days Additional blitz days planned from September

Impact!! School Partnerships Davis College hosted Blitz days Linked/designed with LSP but Operated locally independent of LSP staff Local Interest developed Junior Club to be established

Cork Sports Spikeball Programme Phase 2
Support new Club Development in Mallow area Provide funding for local Coach/Volunteer education Engage with NGB as the regional structure. Roll out phase 1 in a second targeted area in Cork.

Cork Sports Boxing Programme
Response to queries from local communities Partnership with Cork Boxing Board and Cork Youth Service 2009/ new clubs established Start-up gear purchased in bulk Commitment from Co. Board to facilitate and support club registration Supported locally through youth service Support new club coaches/volunteers with training & education opportunities.
