Module Aim Allows students to identify Management, Leadership and Team Member Characteristics that apply to them and other people Enable students to create workable Project Plan using recognised Tools and Techniques Provide students with skills to evaluate and monitor a Project Plan

Learning Outcomes Demonstrate an understanding of key principles involved in the Project Planning and Management Process Demonstrate competence in using Tools and Techniques for Planning and Managing Projects Initiate, Plan and Conduct a project, such as a business Systems Project Analyse and report the process and outcome of a project in written format

Assessment 50% by written assignment A project planning scenario followed by short answer questions/report May use MS Project or similar (try http://openproj.org/) Sample tasks – try the techniques Past exam papers

Assessment 50% by written examination 2 hour unseen examination four questions from five not using PCs formula sheet available Content based on lectures and other supporting material Additional reading will help

What is expected from you? Attend all Lectures and Tutorial / Seminar sessions / Computer labs Come in tutorial classes well prepared for class works. Clear your doubts during tutorials. Individual practical work using case study and hands on exercise Self Study Download Module Specification, Lecture slides & other materials from FSERVER or LMU
