2 Recruitment Strategies Start them young for the best return on investment as long as you are prepared to:  Protect  Educate  Nurture

3 Recruitment Strategies  Offer officiating as an alternative to less talented players who love the sport.  With the emphasis on younger officials it is imperative that we start them earlier in order that they can achieve the international goal

4 Recruitment Strategies  Offer officiating to players who can no longer play.  Injury and age can provide many officials. Realistic expectations by the individual and the sport can greatly enhance the contribution.

7 Recruitment Strategies Entry Level Courses Do  Give value  Give responsibility  Give accountability

8 Recruitment Strategies Don’t Give them everything  Course fee  Annual registration  Free uniforms Remember  If they have nothing invested then they can walk away without consequence.

9 Retention Policies  Ultimately sound retention policies can be your best recruitment tools
