Audio & Visual Panel: Talk Button and Video Button Click the “Talk” button to transmit audio. You know you are transmitting audio when you see the blue microphone appear. Click it again to stop transmitting audio. Click the “Talk” button to transmit audio. You know you are transmitting audio when you see the blue microphone appear. Click it again to stop transmitting audio. Don’t forget to expand your video window to see video and pictures as people speak. Preview yourself before transmitting. Let’s all try the mic! Click the talk button once to turn on your microphone. Tell us your name, where you’re from, and one interesting fact about yourself. Introduce the next person in line (“Now over to ___”) Click talk button to turn off your microphone 10

Practice Using Chat! Practice chatting. How many pets do you have? What kind? Watch for new messages. Chat Bubbles Private Chats Send a private chat to the participant below you. 1.Select participant you would like to message. 2.Right-click or use the Participant Options menu to select “Send a private chat” 3.New tab will appear with participants name Remember that the moderators can see all of your chats, including private ones! Type here and hit enter. (Hover over blue person icon, then click on white X to close message tab) 13

Breakout Room Time! Instructions: Use mic or chat box to talk with each other. Nothing in the breakout rooms is recorded. Use the Whiteboard tools you’ve learned so far to color or write a caption for the picture in your room. Time: 5 minutes If you have a question, raise your hand. (Moderators can see when your hand is raised.) Have fun. Remember you CAN’T break Collaborate!!! After time is up, we will return you to the main room. 19
