2 Continuing safety rep development (CSRD) – an introduction CSRD involves safety reps in maintaining, improving and widening your knowledge, skills and experience. This development process continues throughout the period that you are a safety rep.

3 Example of CSRD during a TUC course... During any TUC health and safety course you will be encouraged to assess and then develop your own knowledge, skills and experience as an integral part of the course Take Stage 1 as an example…..

7 What does CSRD involve? Active process with development plan to: consider your development needs identify how to meet those needs put plans into practice review whether development succesful amend if necessary

8 How often? The TUC recommends that development plans are done on a yearly cycle and adjusted when necessary to meet changing circumstances
