5. Plan for the rest of the semester! (only 11 days plus finals!)  Check out the calendar on the front of your packet- Hamlet will take us through January 21st (graded discussion that day), then finals start on January 22 nd !  Your final will be Portfolio Piece #3 (more details to come, but know that this one is done OUTSIDE of class time, so manage your time wisely, start early if you’re concerned so you have time for help!)  Your final piece can be a “wildcard”- something you’ve already started, or something you want to write.  You will turn in your final piece along with a reflection question cover sheet and a final author’s statement on the day of your final. We will be in the lab for the whole final period. (1 st -22 nd, 2 nd -23 rd, 3 rd -24 th ). There will be no late work accepted!!

7. Who’s Who in Hamlet  Walk around the room and read the short descriptions of the various characters.  From the descriptions, read through to find which description best fits which character. No copying work from each other! Read and figure it out!  There is a repeat allowed here!  Be ready to check your work at 8:30

8. 30 second Hamlet Act I  Hey Hamlet, what's on your mind? Oh, I know that your kin have all been less than kind Yeah, your mother's remarried, your dad has just died, And it all seems a little suspicious, now, And you're starting to have these visions, now. And something is rotten in the state of Denmark. Oh your father in armor is haunting the ramparts, And your mother's upset that your clothes are so dark, But now you're starting to make some sense of it. A murder committed, and you will avenge it, But to prove that it's true, you'll play the detective. And I hope you know what you're doing, 'Cause you can tell that trouble's a'brewing. Oh, and Hamlet, Hamlet, I just hope you don't screw it all up.
