3 Mission The mission of the Bridgeport High School Library Media Program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information enabling them to be literate life-long learners. excerpt from School Library Programs Standards and Guidelines for Texas, Texas State Library Archives Commission May, 1997

4 HOURS Monday – Thursday 7:30 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. Friday 7:30 A.M.– 3:45 P.M. Lunch: You may come to the library after you have eaten, but you must stay in the library until the bell rings. If there is a class using the computers, you may use one if it is available and you do not disturb the class.

7 WHAT CAN YOU FIND? Books Fiction Non-Fiction Reference Find everything in the Online Catalog (which can be accessed from any computer and from home). Magazines and Newspapers are in the Leisure Reading section of the library (Print Copy) or Online in databases. Audio Books (ask the librarian or aide)

8 Circulation Two weeks, may renew once on your own (must login to My Info) if it is not overdue. Fines of $.05 per school day is assessed on overdue materials. Report cards are held if there are fines or overdues in the library.
