2
Means of transport help us to travel from one place to another.
3
We can travel by road ways. The transports used to travel by road are:

And we can travel by air ways too. The transports used to travel by air are:

We can travel by water ways.

How do you come here, How do you come here? I take a taxi, I take a train, Ride on a scooter, Fly on a plane, Sail on a boat, I ride on a bus, That‘s how I come to you.

The space shuttle is the most complicated vehicle the mankind has ever created. And pound for pound it is the most expensive. The shuttle and its cargo weigh over 200 000 pounds. Each of the two solid rocket boosters creates over two and a half million pounds of thrust. Each of the three main engines creates about 450 000 pounds of thrust. So the whole shuttle can create about six and a half million pounds of thrust. Why do you need six and a half millon pounds of thrust to lift something that only weighs 200 000 pounds? That is because the fuel itself weighs a lot. You have roughly six and a half million pounds of thrust to lift about four and a half million pounds of weight in the air. You have two million pounds of thrust to accelerate. Fortunately it is getting lighter with every passing second. It takes the engines about eight minutes to do their job. At that point the shuttle is flying weightless in the orbit. Now the astronauts can unstrap and start their mission. They spend their time either in the crew compartment or in the payload bay. The crew compartment has all the comforts of home: a kitchen, a restroom, beds, a shower. But things are packed pretty tight.

Up to eight people may be on board. Either the shuttle puts something new in the orbit or it flies with a complete lab in its cargo bay. The payload compartment is sixty feet long and can hold about 55 000 pounds of cargo. A school bus is about the size of the cargo bay. The space shuttle has a huge cargo capacity.

The boosters separate from the orbiter and its external tank. The shuttle lifts off the pad. The external tank separates from the orbiter. For deorbit, the orbiter is rotated tail first. The orbiter decelerates by aero- braking. In the landing phase, it is like a glider.
