PERIODIC CLEANING OF THE WIRES BY USING A STIFF BRUSH AND KEROSENE OR COMPRESSED AIR OR LIVE STEAM AND THEN RELUBRICATING WILL HELP TO LENGTHEN THE LIFE OF THE ROPE AND WILL REDUCE ABRASIONS AND WEAR ON THE SHEAVES AND THE DRUMS. NOTE: BEFORE STORING AFTER USE, THE WIRE ROPE SHOULD BE CLEANED AND LUBRICATED.
