support.ebsco.com Student Research Center with Australia/New Zealand Reference Centre Tutorial
2
Welcome to EBSCOs Student Research Center (SRC) tutorial featuring the Australia/New Zealand Reference Centre database. The SRC was developed to offer high school students an easy-to-use, graphically appealing interface, which highlights content such as biographies, maps, and images.
3
Well begin on the Basic Search screen, where you can enter term(s) in the Find field, and then click Search, for results from all of the Source Types below the Find field. You can narrow results using Limiters located in the Limit your results area.
4
All Source types represented in the Result List are shown at the top under the heading Filter results by. Click on any Source Type icon to view those results only.
5
The Student Research Center interface also features a unique alternative search method, via the Topics list. When you click on any Topic, SRC presents subtopics, any of which can be ticked and included in the search. Topic Searching provides a broad range of topics on which you can focus your research, and additional search refinement capabilities.
6
The Advanced Search screen includes Basic Search screen features, and expanders. Search expanders provide you with the ability to add words related to your query, search within the full text of the articles, or insert an and between search terms to ensure that all terms are included in each result.
7
When searching from the Basic or Advanced screen, you can Print, E-mail, or Save any article from a Result List by clicking on its title link and then clicking on the Print, E-mail, or Save link at the top of the screen.
8
To print, e-mail, or save multiple results, first add them to the folder. Tick the boxes of the items you would like to print, e-mail, or save and then click the print, e-mail, or save link. Folder contents can be saved by clicking on the Sign In link, and then setting up a personalized (My SRC) folder account, at no charge.
9
Click on the Help link to view the complete online Help system, and visit our Support Site at http://support.ebsco.com to browse our Knowledge Base of FAQs, download Help Sheets, User Guides, and tutorials, or see whats new in our Top Stories.. This concludes the Student Research Center with Australia/New Zealand Reference Centre tutorial.
