Education Process Management. REPRODUCTION OR QUOTATION, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Copyright ® 2006 Computer Information Concepts, Inc. ® Query Wizard Commands Equal to (=) –Will only pull students that are equal to the data entered. If only seniors are wanted on the report, in the student.grade level field, the operandi would be set to = 12. Not equal to (<>) –Will pull any student that does not have the data entered. If ninth grade through eleventh grade are wanted on the report, in the student.grade level field, the operandi would be set to <>12. IN/Not In –Selecting this option will allow the user to enter commas separating the values. For example, the report is looking for students in grades KG, 05, 07; the operandi for the grade level field would be set to IN KG, 05, 07. Like –This is a wildcard search. If the firstName of students was needed where the last letters were ‘%ean’, use this option and the system will return students with the name of Dean, Sean, etc. Sounds Like –This option will find similar sounding words or other data elements. This option would be used to find students with the firstName that sounds like Ann. It will find An, Ann or Anne. Is Null/Is Not Null –These settings are database terms, and can be used for finding entries that are blank (is null) or fields that have data in them but the user is unsure of what that entry might be.
