Local Plan Alignment~ Revise gifted curriculum units to focus on the development of 21st century skills and global interdependence Utilize the tools of technology to differentiate instruction in order to meet learning objectives for gifted students in grades kindergarten through 12, and to develop 21st century skills in gifted learners. How can technology transform learning into an autonomous and enriching experience?

Guided inquiry of literary study to includes: Creating environments for extended classroom discussions. Using reflective inquiry to craft questions and guide online discussions. Developing skills that allow students to view literature as valuable and applicable to their own lives. How can technology transform guided inquiry?

Local Plan Goals (for parent and community education and communication): Improve the delivery of gifted program information to parents and community members Increase parental/guardian participation and involvement in gifted education with an emphasis on developing parent knowledge and skills. Communicate with parents/guardians and community members utilizing a variety of effective print and electronic media. Develop systems for sharing practical resources with parents/guardians that reflect best practice and current research in gifted education. How can technology transform learning for all stakeholders?

Local Plan Goals (for educators and as a result, students): Continue to develop and implement a professional development plan of opportunities for instructional staff to understand the characteristics and needs of gifted learners. Utilize available technology for the purpose of professional development.
