Cost of Fencing Problem You are fencing in a square pasture with wood. You have decided to build the fence with four rows rather than three for safety reasons. Using the following information, find out how many corner posts and pieces of wood, you will need for the fence and then calculate the cost. (*note that there should be 8ft between each post) Given information –Each side of the pasture is 88 ft long (and square) –The cost of posts is $2.50 each –The cost of 2 x 6 x 8’s is $2.75 each. –The cost of nails is $6.50 per box of 1000 –The cost of cement $2.00 per 50 lb bag ( you will need 2 for each corner or gate post ) – One 8 foot gate is $70.
