What is the Photography Project According to the Texas 4-H Project Description: The Photography project encourages self- expression and teaches proper use of photographic equipment and developing processes. Photography provides opportunities for career exploration and promoting 4-H through photographic communication.

Workshop Opportunities What:Texas 4-H Photography Workshop & Camp When:July 20-21, 2013 Where:Bell County (Belton and/or Temple area) Workshop will be focused on beginning and advance project members as well as project leaders. Sessions will be hands-on and will target photography skills as well as some graphic design and layout. Career development will be a major component throughout the workshop. More information to be released in Spring 2013

Texas 4-H Photography Contest Category Hints and Tips: Read the description closely! The CATCH-ALL category is for photos that do not clearly fit into other categories. It is NOT a category for duplicate entries. NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY category is for photos taking at night – NO sunrise and sunset photos should be entered into this category.

Texas 4-H Photography Contest Category Hints and Tips: STORYBOARD category is three photos placed into one jpg file. This category test skills in layout and recreation of file management. The 2013 THEME category is “Holiday Season in Texas.” This is any holiday from January 1, 2012 to April 15, 2013. FACT: more photos were DQ in 2012 due to being entered into the wrong category than issues surrounding size/format.

Texas 4-H Photography Contest Text on Photos: The only category that any text should be visible on is the STORYBOARD category. Submission Format of Photos: Photographs should be taken at the highest resolution possible. Photographs must be in a.jpeg,.jpg, or.gif formation. Files submitted may not be larger than 2,048k (2MB).
