Shall your mother and I and your brothers indeed come to bow down to the earth before you?" And his brothers envied him, but his father kept the matter in mind.

4. The woman As we shall see this woman has a lot to do with the Messiah Mary does not fit, why? Israel does not fit, why? Again whoever this is she is before and after the Incarnation. Thus it fits that she is the people of God, i.e., Israel and the Church

Heads – Maybe it is the Leviathan Heads- Maybe it is how the Devil manifests himself on earth, through the heads (people, governments) he works through

7. The Red Dragon 10 Horns – Great power 7 diadems – great kingdom Tail –This is where we get the idea that 1/3 of the angels were thrown out of heaven with him. Daniel 8:10 And it grew up to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and some of the stars to the ground, and trampled them. So it could be his evil influence

8. The Red Dragon Tried to eat the child Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel." Patriarchs and barren wives; Moses; Judges; Kings; Captivity; Prophets; Birth; Life of Christ

War in heaven This may have happened eons ago we do not know Ultimate what we do know is from Revelation 12:11 "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” This leads some to conclude what is described here is the victory of Christ at the Cross and the Resurrection

16. Revelation 12:9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

And to him He said, "See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes."

27. Revelation 12:15-16 So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.

Satan Attacks the Church This could by physical This could be spiritual 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

30. Attack on Individuals Satan failed in his attack to destroy the Christ, he failed in his attack to destroy the Church, so he attacks individuals How does Satan attack individuals? How can we resist the attacks of Satan?

Attack on Individuals Even in this Satan is not totally successful so in the next chapter he calls in reinforcements Remember the promise from Romans 16:19-20 For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil. And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.
