CONSISTENCY 1 CORINTHIANS 4:17
3
17 For this reason I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful son in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach everywhere in every church.

CONSISTENTLY INCONSISTENT

CONSISTENCY IN WHO WE SERVE 1 CORINTHIANS 10:21 21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons. MATTHEW 6:24 24 “no one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
6
CONSISTENCY IN WHO WE SERVE 1 CORINTHIANS 15:58 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
7
CONSISTENCY IN WHO WE SERVE REVELATION 2:9-10 9 “I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

CONSISTENCY IN WHO WE SERVE 1 CORINTHIANS 9:26-27 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 but I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

CONSISTENCY IN THE EXAMPLE WE SET Romans 2:19-23 19 and are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness, 20 an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and truth in the law. 21 you, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal?
10
22 you who say, “do not commit adultery,” do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? 23 you who make your boast in the law, do you dishonor god through breaking the law?
11
CONSISTENCY IN THE EXAMPLE WE SET MATTHEW 7:3 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?
12
CONSISTENCY IN THE EXAMPLE WE SET Titus 1:16 16 they profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.
13
CONSISTENCY IN THE EXAMPLE WE SET LUKE 9:23 23 Then he said to them all, “if anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.
14
CONSISTENCY DEFINES US MATTHEW 5:37 37 But let your ‘yes’ be ‘yes,’ and your ‘no,’ ‘no.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.
15
CONSISTENCY DEFINES US Revelation 3:15-16 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 so then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth.
16
CONSISTENCY DEFINES US Revelation 2:18-19 18 “and to the angel of the church in Thyatira write, ‘These things says the son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and his feet like fine brass: 19 “I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first. 20 Notwithstanding

IT IS GOING TO TAKE WORK LUKE 9:59-62 59 Then he said to another, “follow me.” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” 60 Jesus said to him, “let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of god.” 61 and another also said, “Lord, I will follow you, but let me first go and bid them farewell who are at my house.” 62 but Jesus said to him, “no one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

HEBREWS 3:12-14 12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; 13 but exhort one another daily, while it is called “today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 for we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end,
