4. Hardware Microphones: Bad audio ruins great videos! Get the USB mics plug into your computer. Record voiceover narration while editing the video. Shotgun mics connect to your camcorder to improve sound quality. Attach a shotgun mic to a boom to get it closer to the subject(s). Lavalier mics attach to clothing of the subject(s). There are external mics for iPhones.
